DESIGNED TO THRIVE

DESIGNED TO THRIVE
Elizabeth Murray
I design outdoor spaces that are not only beautiful, but thoughtfully curated to reflect your lifestyle and needs. My focus is working with the living parts of the landscape: plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers. By helping you choose the right plants for the right places, we encourage a thriving environment that can bring lasting beauty to your yard. I am also passionate about helping you solve challenges with flow, function and how each area of your property connects, so everything feels as good as it looks.
I grew up with my hands in the dirt learning to garden alongside my grandmothers in the heat and humidity of the South. Throughout the years, I was constantly amazed at their plant and gardening wisdom. Over the years, that early wonder grew into a deep love for gardening and landscaping, and an even deeper joy in sharing what I've learned, both from them and from my own trial and error. Passing along that knowledge feels like keeping a piece of them alive. -Ashley Nelson
My experience spans a wide variety of projects, from coaching the previously labeled "black-thumbed", designing private landscapes, as well as large scale HOA community remodels. I've also had the privilege of contributing my skills to charity organizations where I've helped create green spaces that bring comfort and connection. All prioritizing beauty, budget, problem-solving and function.
My goal is to work closely with each client to create a landscape that is not only beautiful but uniquely suited to their space, vision and function. Achieving a thriving outdoor environment requires more than just creativity, it demands a solid understanding of how to select the right plant for the right place, under the right conditions. With careful planning and informed choices, I help guide each garden toward its full potential to flourish.
Epic Landscapes offers a wide range of a la carte services surrounding landscape design.
Including but not limited to:
Client questionnaire & conversations to help you recognize and translate your wants and needs, On site analysis, Design consultation, softscape design, vision boards, oversee plant install, plant maintenance education.
Every landscape begins with a conversation. I take time to understand how you envision using your space, today and in the years ahead, and the details that matter most to you. I believe function and beauty go hand in hand, so each design is carefully curated to fit your life as well as your land.
I am not aligned with a landscape installer. Why?
1. My Clients know THEY are my priority.
2. I am not getting a cut from any installer, so there is no upselling. Oftentimes, the "all in one" design plus installers will steer the design toward only plants they sell or what has the highest markup.
3. You can shop around the design that I provide (or DIY) to find an installer to get the best price.
We, together, curate a plan tailored to you, no one size fits all solutions. We move at a pace that feels right for you, deciding together how much you'd like me involved and how best to use my expertise. Along the way, we can adjust, refine or change direction, ensuring the final design grows from our ideas, fits the way you live and becomes a space for years of memories.
